I was privileged enough to visit the historic Tartu University in Estonia and visit their Folklore department. I finally got to meet my overseas advisor for my thesis project, Professor Ülo Valk. I was then graciously invited by the professor to attend a comparative workshop. As part of this workshop, we explored some diverse spiritual/religious retreats in Raplamaa country in Estonia. First, we explored the famous Lilleoru School, where practitioners are developing a framework for a practice called Practical Consciousness and blending aspects of Christianity, Hinduism and various other beliefs. We were also introduced to a Lutheran priest who was not your typical Christian priest; he had also performed exorcisms and was offering a Christian retreat.
